Adobe PDF Library Plus by Datalogics: This package contains the Adobe PDF Library, as distributed and enhanced by Datalogics. There are three subfolders in this distribution. The folder you are interested in probably depends on the language you wish to develop in: * C and C++ developers: the APDFL folder contains the C/C++ language interface to the Adobe PDF Library. C language developers, note that you will need to include a couple of C++ - language source files into you product build and link your Adobe PDF Library application or shared library with a C++ - aware linker. The DLI folder contains a C/C++ language interface that simplifies common PDF document creation tasks. * C#, Visual Basic .NET and ASP.NET developers: the DotNET_and_Java folder contains the .NET interface for the Adobe PDF Library. Precompiled versions of the C# examples that are included for the Adobe PDF library are included for Windows XP/7 as .exe files in Windows distributions. The .NET interface samples are mainly written in C# and are included in the "Samples\CSharp" folder. * Java developers: the DotNET_and_Java folder contains the Java interface for the Adobe PDF Library. Prebuilt versions of the Java examples are included as JAR files. These JAR files are executable Java programs and may be run directly with the java command. The Java interface sample files are included in the "Samples/Java" directory. * Python developers: you may use either the .NET or the Java interfaces for the Adobe PDF Library, both in the DotNET_and_Java folder - .NET via IronPython, Java via Jython. While Datalogics does not provide any examples for calling the Adobe PDF Library via Python, Datalogics does use both IronPython and Jython for driving our automated development testing framework. See http://blogs.datalogics.com/2012/10/29/dle-using-python/ for some general tips on usage as well as a specific discussion of using Jython on Mac OS X to interface Python with the Adobe PDF Library. Helpful tips for Linux developers may be found in our introductory Linux video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WU5rbeSlsY&feature=plcp. The .NET and Java interfaces are part of the "DLE" portion of the Adobe PDF Library Plus distribution and reflect enhancements created by Datalogics. The "DLI" portion of the Adobe PDF Library Plus distribution is a C language interface supplemental to the primary C language interface to the Adobe PDF Library and reflects enhancements created by Datalogics.
